Started this hike on a partly sunny day. There are bathrooms right at the trailhead which is nice. Several good views along the way. It was a little wet/muddy in some places, but in reality, that is to be expected for any of the trails in Hawaii. At one point, you cross a stream, but there is a rope to help you, in case the stream is running high and/or fast. Overall, I enjoyed this hike. Good hiking shoes are always a must, and removable spikes really help a lot. The hike ends at a large picnic area. Don't get confused. Look for the wooden steps near the bathrooms and then walk up the road a couple hundred feet back to the trailhead. I didn't take many pictures on the way back, as I was concentrating on not falling on my butt in a few places.

Stream crossing here. Rope is available in case water running higher.

A welcome bench for those that need a break, with another great view!
Another nice view spot along the way

First peek out of the trees

Kinda cool tree tunnel!

A great view here. Wish it had been sunnier!

Nice view of Highway below heading into the mountains.

Over or under? I chose around...not that flexible lol

Another great viewpoint.

Bathroom at end of trail. You come from the left and stairs up the hill are to the right
