Maunawili Falls Hike

2.8 miles   1,007ft elevation   Out/Back Trail
AllTrails lists it as Moderate

This trail was a nice hike through the woods.  It is a little muddy in parts and you cross a stream several times. So at least you can wash off any mud you have accumulated on your shoes.  I wore removable spikes again, as I personally find they come in handy, especially in the muddy areas or when traversing rocks or roots. The trail has inclines and declines, but nothing major.  You will traverse sections of roots and sections with stairs. There were some nice views along the way.  The trail ends at a beautiful waterfall with a great swimming hole below.  People were jumping from the waterfall into the pool below, and some climbed up higher on the sides waterfall to jump further.  It's not for the faint at heart, and could be dangerous if the water is low in the pool below. Pretty well marked so I left off comments on the pictures.

The trailhead is to the right at the gate.  You have to find parking nearby
