Rain last two days = good Waterfalls!

Updated: Jun 26, 2022

Went on the Laie Falls Hike today. That's pronounced "LA E A" if you were wondering. I always drive around looking at street signs and practice pronouncing the words. The hike was really nice. A few thigh/calf crunchers here and there, but very doable. The falls were running great and I had them to myself for about 20-30 minutes until some people showed up. I only ran into two people on the way up. One lady walking her dog and a college girl coming back down the trail, so it was really nice to have the privacy and solitude. Don't get me wrong, I love being around people, but I really needed the alone time, out in the fresh air, to clear my head. Life can be such a struggle sometimes. Honestly speaking, sometimes I have passingly thought about cashing in my chips, but I know that would hurt those that care about me. So that's a non-starter for me. I just keep pushing myself forward. Never let life's problems take your soul. There's always another day and another hike, and there is always a solution to every problem. Sometimes it just takes a little while to find it, or someone to help guide you to it. If you ever think about suicide, please talk to a friend, family member or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800) 273-8255. Aloha!
