Taking it Easy with a Short One...

I went on a shorter hike today. The Lanakai Pillbox Trail, also know as Kaiwa Ridge. I wasn't really feeling a long one mentally. It was a neat little hike to some Pillboxes. We have quite a few on the Island. For those that don't know, the Pillboxes were used during World War II to defend and watch for enemy activity ( ships, planes, etc.). The ones on this trail supposedly did not have any armaments. I started a little later today, around 10am, so it was already mostly sunny and hot. I only went to the 1st and second Pillboxes. There was one more smaller one up further, but I wanted to head over to Waimanalo Beach for some pictures. I figured I could do the rest another day. Theres so many things to see on the Island, It's hard to prioritize, especially since I'm doing this web site now. I was so hot today, someone asked me how long I lived here and I said 6 years instead of 6 months LOL Can anyone spell H-E-A-T S-T-R-O-K-E !! lmao
